We are back from our trip to the panda and moonbear centers in China as well as a wonderful warm side trip in Thailand and I have so much to tell I hardly know where to start. If you have been following along on my blog at http://graffitigossip.com you know all about the panda I chose for our next group adoption via PANDAS INTERNATIONAL….a stunning (formerly) wild panda named Bai Xue

I chose Bai Xue for her unmistakable black “beauty mark” on her muzzle and her history of being a wild child, as she was the panda who disappeared from the panda center she was at for 5 years, then miraculously returned!! Just one look at her Bifengxia clay dipped bum and you know this girl marches to the beat of a different drummer. How endearing can one panda get….and to top it off she is a wonderful mommy at the age or 20 years it is estimated

I have so much to tell you about all the pandas, moonbears and elephants we met along the way, but this update is for our beautiful Bai Xue, who is asking for your help in completing this group adoption, as we still need 250.00 of the 500.00 required by Pandas International to finalize the sponsorship of our girl

Regardless of how you choose to pay, each of the contributors will be receiving a downloadable panda artwork I designed just for our group with a value of 45.00. You may print this artwork as cards or a make a framed print for your own use ,as a thank you from me for your generosity and caring .

This very special panda art design will not be sold anywhere at any time, so it will be a collectors item. I will reveal the design as soon as our adoption is finalized.

Thank you all so very much for your support of the group adoptions at PANDARAZZI. My dream is to continue to be able to provide a way to help others be a part of these unique adoptions of the China pandas by making then affordable for all who wish to participate. A 500.00 adoption can be out of reach for many caring panda people who would love to be involved. Being part of the “adoption den” you really see your donation dollars in action!!

By providing a platform at PANDARAZZI where we all can shake down our piggy banks and pool our resources as a team , we all benefit from one anothers involvement in in turn help each panda we sponsor with plentiful bamboo, medications, round the clock TLC by the nannies and keepers. Not to mention the AWESOME updates and photos which Carrie and the Bifengxia photographers provide us during the course of the year!!j

GETTING BEARY EXCITED!!! First itinerary for China/Thai trip

Here is my very loose itinerary for our 2010 trip back to visit director Jill Robinson of Animals Asia foundation in China to learn more about their moonbear rescue.

FIRST STOP..CHENGDU CHINA

Jill invited us to observe surgeries and health checks if there are any scheduled for that week. I’m so excited

NOW TWO PANDA CENTERS

The first is the Chengdu panda base is where my Bao Shi is. Lichunlin says she is quite the young lady now and she keeps asking to see me…hee hee hee.!! I can’t wait!!

NEXT….BIFENGXIA PANDA CENTER

to see all our Pandarazzi adopted cubbies. We most likely will go 2 days and not one as it shows on the schedule, but all depends on the fact that Chinese New Year is on Valentines Day…Sunday. I am checking into the hours of the center that previous week

NEXT STOP…THAILAND

to visit my adopted ellies at the Elephant rescue again in Chiang Mai.

We are looking at other options in Chiang Mai for adventure. My travel partner for this trip and long time friend Gayle, will freak out when she sees this!!! LOL!

This adventure is just outside of Chiang Mai and was featured on the Amazing Race….Wow would this be fun but also very scary at the same time. What say you Gayle??? You are probably going screaming for the exit right about now…lol

My son Bryan and his fiance Kate are going to Thailand in January for their honeymoon so I’m doing double duty researching for both of us. This is how I found the website via Trip Advisor…my travel bible!!

So you can see it’s going to be a fun and adventure packed couple of weeks and I’m so glad to get our basic itinerary ready to go and reservations made now. We got the LAST room at the Bed and Breakfast in Chiang Mai and Jill at AAF was booked all through January . I jumped on the opportunity when she said she could meet with us in Feb.

MORE TO COME…..now I am starting on our Egypt and Turkey itinerary!!! Yippie!!!
