I am extremely excited….I just finished this original piece of art to donate to the Pandas International Dinner/Auction in Colorado this coming February 2009!! My model for this stylized piece is the unbelievably hammy and ever adorable Suquing from the Chengdu Panda Base
Anyone and Everyone is invited to attend!! If you live in or are traveling to the Denver Colorado area, you are extremely lucky to have the chance to be there in person. I’m hoping to go but will have to play it by ear. The PANDAS INTERNATIONAL website has info on it now to sign up for the event!!!

It is so wintery here in Portland OR. with a REAL steady snowfall all day long…very rare for this part of the country. As I sat here catching up on my Flickr photo stuff a beautiful set of images caught my eye from one of my contacts. Cubsfan723 (flickr handle) is also a member of Pandas Unlimited and a loyal follower of the Royal family (the DC pandas) at the Smithsonian Zoo.
This weekend cubsfan723 was so lucky to have the opportunity to visit the zoo during their ZOOLIGHTS display and took some wonderful photographs in the process. Thank you for allowing me to share them with our Pandarazzi audience!! It is such a winter wonderland here and the lights really filled me with the holiday spirit!! I hope they light up the end of this hectic weekend for all of you too !!!

Below are cubsfan723’s impressions of this wondrous night of lights!
“A quick visit – took tours of the Library of Congress and
the newly reopened Congress Bldg. Had dinner with friends
and went to Zoo Lights. Happily went to the NZ early on
Sunday and finished up with the reopened National American
History Museum. AND my flight out of DCA actually left ON
TIME! (First time in years).
The weather was very Tai, Mei, and Tian oriented. It was
cold and at Zoo Lights…SNOW! Sunday was beautifully
sunny, but freezing cold, even for me. The PU DCers packed
up as fast as possible (except for Foo, who couldn’t get
enough of his beloved Mei). “
