Welcome my Pantastic Friends to the NEW AND IMPROVED Pandarazzi!!
Now that we have finalized our 4 Panda Tribe adoptions through Pandas International, I discovered that the forum was not going to work as well as I had hoped. I went to update this weekend and got hit with a storage fee and various other limitations that I was not willing to live with. Any extra money should go to the pandas and other needed causes and not in the pocket of a “Free Blog” service…lol!
So after a lot of thought as to what to do, I decided that I adore blogging as I do on GRAFFITI GOSSIP. I am religious about it and know my way around the Word Press admin very very well by now! I am in the process of transferring all our Panda Tribe info over to a really nice storyboard html page that will link from here. We can add our baby photos to the albums as we get them.
You will see my 4 favorite pet projects are above in the photo links. Each will take you to the corresponding charity that I personally visited in those countries and can attest to the care and dedication these folks give the animals in their charge. These will be the 4 species I will concentrate on working to raise funds for via Project Panda.
There is much more to come. I just wanted to make sure you all didn’t wonder if you were going crazy when this blog came up instead of the Pandarazzi Forum. Please comment on the posts as often as you like and feel free to leave suggestions. This is going to be a very GREEN blog with a variety of helpful suggestions for all of us to create a happier planet
Panda Hugs to all!
Sandra

Wow did I wake up to the BEST NEWS EVER!!!!
ABOVE…Photo was taken at the Moonbear rescue in Chengdu, China 2/08
Quoting from ANIMALS ASIA‘s founder Jill Robinson in her call for votes back in June
I’m sure you’ve heard of Africa’s Big 5 – the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. Now Asian Geographic magazine is running “Asia’s Big 5 Contest” to recognize five animals that are unique to Asia. The Asia Geo team has already chosen the panda, the tiger, and the orangutan. They are giving us the chance to choose Asia’s remaining two iconic animals! (NOTE: voting is now over…see below )
The Asiatic black bear or Moonbear is often lowly regarded in Asia as an animal that is solely important for its bile. Of course, we know otherwise! The antics of the playful bears that have been rescued never fail to bring a smile to our faces. Despite the unimaginable horrors they have been through on the bile farms, these forgiving creatures are determined to put the past behind them and to be proud ambassadors for their species.
Well here is the email I received from Jill today. I cried so hard when I saw this incredible news!!!
Dear Sandra, We did it! The Asiatic black bear (moon bear) is now officially one of Asia’s Big 5! A huge thank you to all of you who voted for the moon bear in Asian Geographic magazine’s „Asia’s Big 5 Contest‰.
The readers’ poll also chose the elephant to join the three iconic animals that Asian Geo had already included in the Big 5 – the tiger, orangutan and giant panda.
Of course, we already knew that the moon bear was special – now the rest of the world will as well. We’ll certainly spread this news far and wide and use the moon bears’ new status as another „weapon‰ in our struggle to end the shocking abuse of this intelligent, forgiving and highly endangered species.
Bear hugs,
Jill

I don’t’ have an orangutan photo unfortunately but here is one more of my favorite Moonbear in Thailand called “Bam Bam”. She was such a character and spoiled rotten by her keepers.
CONGRATULATIONS TO PLANET EARTH FOR THE CHANCE TO KEEP THESE CREATURES SAFE AND PLENTIFUL!
