Are you guys ready for this!!! Our bestest friends on the planet…Carrie Phillips (adoption coordinator) and Suzanne Braden, founder of Pandas International went truly out of their way to fill my request for photos of our 4 adoption tribe cubbies. Thank you ladies and the staff in China so much for helping give this ole girl a good long cry and giggling fits as I’m sure wil happen to the rest of the Pandarazzi readers
CARRIE WRITES TO ME TODAY:
Hi Sandra,
Well, get ready to smile and laugh! Here are pictures of your beautiful girl Jing Shui. I know the English part of her name is Peaceful Water but she doesn’t look very peaceful to me…she looks very full of energy Plus, she looks like a little escape artist! Adorable! Seeing the panda pictures is one of the best parts of my work day and always makes me smile.
NEWS FLASH…added 1/2 hour later!!
Hi Sandra,
Here is an update on Jing Shui. I didn’t correct the English on this update and you can see that the word “it” is used rather than the word “she”. I’m told the Chinese language does not make the same gender distinction that we do. This is always a challenge when trying to figure out whether a panda is a male or female! Of course, we know that Ying Ying’s cub is a female.
You can send the update to your adopters as it is or correct it as you like.
Ying Ying’s baby can walk and play independently, especially like climbing the fence. it is always trying to climb high and often slide down the fence. however, it never feels the pain, only running to its mother to look for affection, which makes it very happy.
CAN YOU STAND IT!!!!! A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE TO PANDAS INTERNATIONAL
More photos are on the way of the other cubbies as I receive them!!!!! One per post!.

I am extremely excited….I just finished this original piece of art to donate to the Pandas International Dinner/Auction in Colorado this coming February 2009!! My model for this stylized piece is the unbelievably hammy and ever adorable Suquing from the Chengdu Panda Base
Anyone and Everyone is invited to attend!! If you live in or are traveling to the Denver Colorado area, you are extremely lucky to have the chance to be there in person. I’m hoping to go but will have to play it by ear. The PANDAS INTERNATIONAL website has info on it now to sign up for the event!!!

As long as I was on a roll with the Elephant book, I decided it was time I finish my panda book as well. I plan to take a leather cover copy of this to give to the Panda Base when I return next year as a gift. I still have some proofing to do as well as insert a few of my more recent Project Panda jewelry designs…but for the most part, it is ready to publish.
What a job……my bottom is permanently molded to my computer chair but this is one of those projects that got put on the back burner until I could get my new computer. The old one was just too slow and frustrating to do graphics etc with.
There will eventually be a book/slideshow on each of the 4 headers in CAPS under RECENT PROJECTS in the sidebar to the left.
CLICK THE PHOTO OF THE PANDA TO BRING THE SHOW-UP NICE AND LARGE..CLICKING ON ANY IMAGE AGAIN WILL GIVE YOU SINGLE PAGES INSTEAD OF THE DOUBLE LAYOUT
