Thank you all so much for your help!!! Your TWEETS alone are incredible advertising for the cause regardless of whether the moonbears are chosen or not.  Moonbears need exposure desperately if we wish  to change the course of their tortured lives

Mission Moonbear supporter Elise Ney, told me about this opportunity the day it was announced. I had intended to post here earlier but “life happens” and haven’t had the chance till now…thank you Elise for your patience!!

Actor Hugh Jackman has pledged to donate tens of thousands of pounds to charity in a Twitter contest.

Users must send a 140-character “tweet” to the actor’s profile @RealHughJackman to nominate their cause.

The star will give 100,000 Australian dollars – more than £48,000 – to the charity named by the best tweet.

Hundreds of recession-hit charities are competing for the money as the economic downturn forces them to think of innovative ways to raise funds.

Mr Jackman, who stars in Wolverine, told his online followers: “Your suggestions have been informative, touching and inspiring.

“Please keep them coming. You are educating thousands by sharing your causes.”

The winning cause is set to be announced on Friday April 24.”

Ladybug and Pandacub BY SANDRA MILLER ©2009

Hello everyone!!!  I just finished this fun new pen and ink that  I titled “Ladybug and Pandacub” which is now available as a limited production Giclee print and cards at IMAGEKIND.  This same design is also showcased on apparel, mugs and greeting cards in my marketplace at ZAZZLE

Pandacub and Ladybug...by Sandra Miller ©2009 by you.

I’m in love with how it looks on a white or offwhite shirt.  I’m not one to wear white shirts much but this design really stands out on the light background.. Great for both men and women.  As always a portion of profit goes back into Project Panda and future panda cubs adoptions with Pandas International

And speaking of adoptions….if you remember, I recently put out a call for members to join a new PANDARAZZI GROUP ADOPTION of one of the 2008 cubs via PANDAS INTERNATIONAL. Well, now the fun part begins!! The sponsor money has been sent to PI, and Carrie has given us the list of cubs we have to choose from!!!!

Above are just a few that our new VILLAGE of 10 group adoptees will be voting on this week!! Once we pick a baby…then comes the NAMING of the cub!!! Woo Hoo!!

Good morning Pandarazzi friends
I received this note from Animals Asia this morning and felt it was a great announcement to put here as well. I am a Teddybear collector from WAY back and there are some PRIMO artisan and collector bears on this list to bid on for yourself or give as a gift. Thanks for taking a peek at the Abracadabra Teddies website!!

BELOW ARE A SMALL SAMPLE OF THE TEDDIES AND OTHER ANIMALS AVAILABLE AT AUCTION

Dear Sandra,

Our wonderful friends at Abracadabra Teddy Bears in Saffron Waldon, Essex are once again running a BIG END OF YEAR ONLINE TEDDY BEAR AUCTION to help raise further funds for our rescued bears in China and Vietnam.

Abracadabra Teddy Bears has already raised a phenomenal £29,722 for the bears via auctions over the past five years and this end-of-year auction is one of the biggest yet with over 70 bears and teddies on offer. There really is something for everybody.

All of the bears have been kindly donated by collectors and artists wanting to make a difference in the lives of the moon bears incarcerated in cages across China and Vietnam.

The online auction will ran from 9 pm on Sunday 11 January (UK time).

Please bid generously and remember that every donation, no matter how big or small, will help to end the barbaric practice of bear farming.
With warmest wishes and sincerest thanks for your support,
Dave
